Nash County Public Schools Announces Spelling Bee Winner
Rocky Mount, N.C. – Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) celebrated its district spelling bee at Word Tabernacle Church, with 31 students from 17 schools competing.
After 13 rounds, 7th grader Paisley Jackson from Nash Central Middle School emerged as the champion. Jackson will represent the district at the Carolina Panthers Regional Spelling Bee in Charlotte on March 17, 2024. Adeline Hancock, a 4th grader from Nashville Elementary School, took second place and will be an alternate for the regional bee.
The district-level bee is a qualifier for the 2024 Carolina Panthers Regional Spelling Bee, presented by Bank of America, which invites champions from across North and South Carolina.
Congratulations to Paisley Jackson, Adeline Hancock, and all participants for their hard work and achievement.
