A Message from the School Nurse. Attention to parent of Pre-K, Kindergarten, and newly transferred students. All students enrolled in NC Public School for the first time must submit a complete immunization record and the NC Health Assessment form within 30 calendar days of enrollment. The NC Health Assessment must be completed by a licensed health care provider and the date of examination can be no more than 1 year prior to the first date of attendance. If your child has already had their physical within the acceptable time frame, please contact your private provider and have the health assessment form filled out. The deadline for submitting this information is September 27, 2023. Failure to turn in the required information can result in exclusion from school. Dear NCPS Family: Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) is launching the "Growing Forward Together" campaign, marking a significant step in our demerger process. This initiative reflects our commitment to education with a seamless transition for our community. This is an invitation to attend either one of the upcoming forums regarding the Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) and Edgecombe County Public Schools (ECPS) Demerger, which goes into effect July 1, 2024. We are inviting impacted families and staff to be a part of our NCPS forum, to learn more about the demerger process. Dear Parents and Guardians, This letter is Part 2 of the initial bus email sent on 8/24/2023 regarding our school bus services. This information is intended for those who have submitted the transportation form for the 2023-2024 school year. As previously mentioned, the buses will continue to service all routes, albeit with some delays in reaching the schools. Update on Bus Information: Starting today, Friday, August 25, 2023 - you can login to the link below to find your child's bus information, Some of you may see only "a.m./morning" but it will be the same bus in the "p.m./afternoon." Via this Link: https://ncps.mybusplanner.com/default.aspx You should be able to login with the same email/password you use for the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you have immediate concerns, questions, or trouble accessing your Parent Portal, please contact your child's school today. Next Steps: Please ensure your information is updated in the Parent Portal and that you've downloaded the Nash County Public Schools App and selected your child's school. Important Update: NCPS Bus Driver Shortage

We are so thankful for New Sandy Hill FWB Church as they provided our school with bookbags filled with supplies for students and provided a catered lunch with a gift for our staff to start off the school year! #communitymatters

NCPS App/Rooms The response to our new district app has been fantastic! If you have downloaded the app, you have seen a toggle at the bottom right of the app that says School App/Rooms. The Rooms section gives teachers and parents the opportunity for two-way messaging about what is happening in the classroom. To access the Rooms section, you must receive an invite either through email or text message. Today, August 21st, the district will push out invites to parent email addresses and phone numbers that are on the contacts page of their student's account in PowerSchool. After you receive that email or text message, you can follow the directions linked in the email/message to create an account to connect to your child's Rooms. You will see your student's classes once the teachers have published them. The NCPS app is the only app parents need to use Rooms. If you are not sure if your email address or phone number are correct in PowerSchool, contact the school at 252-451-2892.
